When you visit GüiráOga, our guides will introduce you to the animals in our care and share their stories with you.
As you walk along trails surrounded by jungle, you will meet the inhabitants of GüiráOga in enclosures that preserve local vegetation. These enclosures provide a home for animals that cannot be released into the wild. Visiting GüiráOga will make you realise the importance of protecting wildlife and natural habitats. However, don’t forget that the refuge is not a zoo; it is a rehabilitation centre for animals that are unable to survive in the wild due to injury, as well as for animals that are recovering and will soon return to their home, the Atlantic Rainforest.
Your visit helps us to continue our work. Although we receive institutional support from Fundación Azara and the Ministry of Ecology of the Province of Misiones, we rely entirely on visitor donations for funding. This enables us to be completely self-financed.

OPENING HOURS:
Open every day of the year from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (last visit at 4:30 p.m.). First private tour at 10:00 a.m. Open every day, no cancellations due to rain. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, with limited space on each tour. The tour lasts 1.5 hours. Groups are formed every 30-40 minutes.
The visit to the refuge is conducted by an environmental educator. First, you will travel 1 km through the jungle to the refuge in an eco-trailer. Once there, you will begin an 800-meter walk where you will learn about the different animals and the projects the refuge is working on. At the end of the tour, the eco-trailer will take you back to the entrance of the property and the parking lot.

Please note that the visit takes place outdoors, so we recommend comfortable shoes and clothing. The tour is suitable for people of all ages and physical conditions.
